For next week we all decided to have a solid idea. For the time being we will have group discussions and meetings via email to create something we all agree on.
SOCIAL NETWORKING

I think social networking has allowed young individuals to keep in contact with their friends on a regular basis, however it has diminished the old tradition of face-to-face conversations. I have just over 100 friends on my profile, and I only really keep in touch with a handful of those. The remaining list are people who I may have had previous contact with in the distant past. In a way it was a great way to get in touch with them, and share a few words, but I don't think the human brain can cope with many friends to have face-to-face conversations. The article is definately right in the sense that it limits the potential of face-to-face conversations, however how can one person constantly keep in touch with everyone on their friend list and have them as close friends? Its virtually impossible, but iis definately a good way of letting me find old friends to keep in touch with on sparse basis.
GOOD AND BAD SITES
Good web sites allow easy navigation between links, which are clearly found and have all the information necessary. There shouldn't be too much jargon or any unclear formatting to confuse the reader.
Below is an example of a good site.
http://www.asos.com/
This is a shopping site and you can easily choose between male and female items and browse and view items on their catalogs easily. e.g. there is a category for shoes. YOu can set the type of shoes you would like to see and order the view to your preference. The prices are clearly listed and you can easily add items to your basket. An additional fetuare of this site, is that it can easily found on any search engine.
Below is an example of a bad sie.
http://www.justdesigner.com/
Here the links are not visible, and are acutually marked with a red cross next to them, indicating the link may be broken. Only by luck you would be able to navigate through. Each item has a stretched view of what can be bought not clearly telling the buyer what the item looks like. It would be hard to differentiate between mens and womens items here until you actually view the item and many of the items do not have any description of what it is, thus making the user not wanting to use the site.
